A Little About Me
My name is Laura and I am a mother, a full-time special education teacher and a wife to an amazingly supportive husband. I took a leap of faith starting my own business and blog to follow my creative dreams. My inspiration for this journey to business and blogging was my grandmother. My grandmother, who passed away in March 2014, was a strong woman who was an accomplished entertainer, seamstress, and avid crafter. Her creative skills were unmatched by any and her devotion and hard work for her craft was amazing. My dream is to carry on her creative spirit by designing a place where others can come to be inspired and to spark their creative side.
I have always loved being creative. My blog is a place to help the busy parent with creative ways to connect with their family, kids and school. I also began with an Etsy shop where I sell personalized classroom treats for all holidays, party invitations and matching printables. I still love my little Etsy shop but I really wanted something of my own. This year I started my own Teacher and Classroom Gift Shop on my website!
I have a daughter Grace, who is 9 and a son Quinn, who is 7 and a step-daughter Kaitlyn, who is 22. My wonderful husband and I have been married for 14 years. I love party planning and all the details that go into it! I also enjoy decorating my home, and I am always willing to help others with their own home decor. Being a sweets addict, cookie decorating with Royal icing remains my favorite pastime especially when it enhances my party table! I am a lover of all chocolate, browsing Michael’s Craft Store for inspiration, and of course, I love Pinterest!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will stay awhile!
