The first day of school is coming quickly. It is always nice to get the kids excited about going back and help calm their nerves a little. Okay, I’m not going to lie, maybe mine a little too. In my house we ALL go back to school. I am a school teacher and my husband is a middle school principal.
So today I thought I would show you how to throw an easy Back to School Party! You don’t always have to have a huge party with all your friends and relatives. Make it easy on yourself. Throw a little party just for your own kids! Make special memories for them that they will remember forever.
Follow my EASY TIPS + use my FREE PRINTABLES and you are sure to have a simple yet memorable celebration!
The back to school banner & ABC letters are from Target in their dollar spot section. You can see that post here. I just love how you can change out the letters to create different sayings. So much fun!
How adorable are these PENCIL CUPCAKE CONE’s? So simple to make!
PENCIL CUPCAKE CONE HOW TO: Add 3 Tablespoons of cupcake mix into the cones and bake. Next, print off the pencil cone wrappers HERE, cut and tape around the cone. Then pipe on your frosting. I used a hint of yellow in my frosting and black for the very top.
To create a simple & fun table with detail just follow these few simple TIPS:
TIP 1: Pick a color scheme and stick with it (black, white, yellow, little orange)
TIP#2 Add simple pre-made treats (Oreos + gumballs) + 1-2 baked items with lots of detail (cones)
TIP 3: Use items you have around your house to decorate your table (chalkboard and frames)
My kids wrote what they are most excited about going back to school + favorite summer memories.
TIP 4: Personalize the party (Printables put into frames with kids names, chalkboard activity, banner)
